I remain concerned about possible contagion (e.g., the hypothecation/packaging of many of the falling products and commodities may have a similar impact as derivatives did in the last business cycle). I continue to view the marked drop in the price of oil as having a potentially negative net impact on economic growth and being far more ambiguous in its role in the economy.
