U.S. home prices picked up steam in the most recent Case-Shiller report, as San Francisco, Portland and Denver all sported double-digit growth, as the S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city composite, which measures the value of residential real estate in 20 major U.S. metropolitan areas, saw a 5.5% yearly gain.
