Investment Slump Goes On

Investment has yet to fully recover from the recession, in nominal terms, much less in real terms.  Gross domestic investment has been increasing since it bottomed out in the 3rd quarter of 2009, but it remains about $270 billion below its peak in the 2nd quarter of 2006.
